Shivaji was the last warrior to stand against the lunatic mughal emperor Aurangazeb, who went on a rampage aimed at converting all non-Muslims in India.

Let’s discuss the things you should know about Shivaji Memorial which is also called as “Shivaji smarak.”
The memorial foundation was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Governor Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray.
The cost of this project is around 3600 crore around 530 million U.S dollars which is the biggest Construction cost in the world.
Shiv samarak location ?
The statue of Redeemer in Brazil was constructed in the price of 1.4 Million U.S dollars.
The memorial site is located about 1.5 km away from Girgaum Chowpatty beach in south Mumbai.
The initial phase of the “Shivaji Samarak” will be completed in 2019.
The initial phase will involve construction of the boundary wall, statue.
Apart from this library, art gallery and dedicated museum will be completed by 2019.
The final phase of memorial includes an amphitheatre to seat people where they can view a 3D and 4D display.
In this theatre they can view the life story of Shivaji.
The seating capacity of the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial for visitors will vary from 10,000-15,000 per day.
The height of this Ultimate shivaji statue will be around 190 meter whereas the height of Statue of Liberty in USA is 151 feet.
Also, The Spring Temple Buddha in China is 153 meter in height which is claimed to be the tallest statue in the world, with the cost of construction of about $55 million U.S Dollars.
So, Now the Chatrapati Shivaji memorial statue will be the world largest statue in the world.
The Tallest statue of the world will cover about 15.96 hectare area for the Construction.
An estimated around 5 million cubic metre of hard rock is expected to be removed. For the Construction of Shivaji statue on the Arabian sea am estimated 10-12 million cubic metre of sand will be removed on crushing.
The project has also attracted a lot of objections from social activists.
More than 29,000 people have signed a petition asking the government to spend the money on development of villages instead.
The project is not supported by the fishermen nearby. As it will cover a large part of sea and thereby affecting their livelihood.
But, now the project is finally inaugurated.
Apart from this, the memorial will attract visitors with an exhibition gallery in which Important life events of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be displayed.
Other facilities claimed to be present are Cafeteria, book stalls and reception for visitors.
The price for the visitors are yet to be decided for the 3D and 4D theatre.
